Being inside the Lanin National Park, the Villa Quilla Village is located just 18 kms far from San Martin de los Andes, on the south bank of the Lacar lake.
The tour starts by taking the national 40th Route (Seven Lakes route) so after 6 kms enjoying the Lacar lake landscapes, you find a detour to Quila Quina. We take a mountain road though wood full of oaks dominating the scene, with splendid views of the Lacar lake.
We go through mapuche communities visiting Arroyo Grande, a beautiful waterfall inside an enormous set of rocks to which you can access taking a perfectly signalized catwalk.
We’ll also visit the residential village, a beach with a dock; we’ll go across a nature interpreting trail called “El Cipresal”; we’ll find cave paintings, a source of mineral water, a restaurant to have lunch and a beautiful view of the mountains and the Lacar Lake from the lookouts pointing to the Andes mountain range.
You will have the possibility to come back on a catamaran to the city’s port.
