Bordering the left bank of the Lacar lake on the 40th Route or on the way to the Seven Lakes, it’s over 15 kms until the provincial 19 route which takes us to the Chapelco complex, from which we’ll be able to admire the impressive silhouette of the Lanin volcano.
On our trip we’ll stop at the Pil Pil lookout, from which you can enjoy a beautiful sightseeing of the Valley and Lacar Lake. After travelling a on road full of landscapes worth watching, we’ll arrive to Cerro Chapelco (1980 msnm). As much as in Summer as in Winter, the cable car works up to 1600 mts, where there’s a restaurant and a coffee shop with an unforgettable view.
During winter, we rent all the equipment necessary to enjoy snow, and an intense day of skiing or snowboard, or simply going on a walk with snowshoes or a stroll on a huskies dog sled. The comeback tour takes you though the lands of the mapuche community Curruhuinca and the little settlement called Puente Blanco.
After that we take the famous tour to the Arrayan Lookout, to contemplate a beautiful view of the whole San Martin de los Andes, with the Lacar lake, and the Andes mountain range, with its snow-covered peaks as a backdrop.
